About the role We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Accounting & Finance Specialist to join our team and take ownership of the financial operations across several international companies — with a key focus on our Bulgarian entity. This role combines day-to-day accounting support, coordination with local accountants, invoice management, financial data processing, and reporting. You will play a central role in keeping financial records accurate and up-to-date, ensuring timely communication with service providers and internal stakeholders, and helping us maintain strong financial discipline across borders.
Your responsibilities will include:
Financial documentation & reporting * Collecting and preparing financial documents (invoices, payroll records, bank statements) for submission to external accounting providers. * Coordinating monthly and quarterly reporting processes with local accountants. * Maintaining internal financial spreadsheets and reports (e.g. cost/revenue tracking, reconciliations, etc.) based on data from multiple sources.
Invoicing & payment tracking * Issuing and sending invoices to clients based on internal requests and agreements. * Tracking payments, reconciling received amounts with issued invoices, and updating internal records accordingly. * Uploading all relevant financial documentation to internal systems.
Payroll & contractor support * Assisting with salary processing, including preparing salary data for payouts and coordinating with accounting teams. * Collecting and organizing data from freelancers and contractors for reporting and payments.
Document coordination & communication * Preparing, proofreading, and coordinating financial and legal documents. * Ensuring timely review and signatures from relevant parties. * Communicating with accountants and stakeholders to clarify payment, reporting, or documentation issues.
What we’re looking for * 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles in international environments (preferably in IT or services). * Solid knowledge of accounting principles, and familiarity with IFRS and/or GAAP standards. * Upper-intermediate English or higher — with confidence in handling professional communication and documentation. * Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills — must-have (pivot tables, formulas, data cleanup, etc.). * Experience working with international financial documentation and multi-country payment flows. * High attention to detail, structured thinking, and ability to work with recurring monthly processes.
Nice to have * Experience working with distributed teams and external accounting providers. * Familiarity with accounting software tools.
