We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with deep expertise in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to lead the design and delivery of scalable cloud data platforms and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience architecting petabyte-scale data warehouses, driving end-to-end cloud data strategies, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders in the FMCG/CPG domain.
Key Responsibilities: * Architect and design robust, scalable, and cost-effective data warehouse and analytics solutions on GCP * Lead cloud data platform initiatives including data ingestion, processing, modelling, and consumption layers * Define end-to-end data architecture using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Looker, and other GCP-native services * Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions * Guide data engineering teams in implementing efficient pipelines for batch and real-time processing * Ensure data security, quality, governance, and performance optimization across the platform * Create reusable frameworks, accelerators, and reference architectures
Required Skills & Experience: * 10+ years of relevant experience in Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, and Analytics * 4+ years of experience in architecting solutions on Google Cloud Platform * Proven experience working with petabyte-scale datasets * Strong expertise in BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Looker/BI tools * Deep understanding of data modelling (dimensional, star/snowflake schemas) and performance tuning * Demonstrated experience engaging with business stakeholders, product owners, and data consumers * Domain knowledge and prior project experience in FMCG/CPG is highly desirable * At least a strong Intermediate English level.
Nice to Have: * Experience with ML pipelines on Vertex AI or AutoML * Familiarity with data governance tools like Collibra or GCP Data Catalog * GCP Professional Data Engineer or Architect certification
