We seek an experienced and proactive technical expert who can thoroughly evaluate and assess the technology behind the projects we invest in.
Key Areas of Responsibility * Conduct Technical Due Diligence: Evaluate the architecture, scalability, security, and integration capabilities of potential investments. You’ll assess whether underlying systems and tech solutions meet industry benchmarks and long-term business needs. * Evaluate Engineering Readiness: Analyze the strength, processes, and culture of engineering teams behind the projects. Your assessments will determine if teams are following best practices in areas such as DevOps, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD. * Provide Actionable Insights: Translate technical evaluations into clear recommendations for investment decisions. Articulate both the strengths and potential risks of each project to guide portfolio strategies. * Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with investment decision-makers, product managers, and marketing teams to align on technical findings with overall strategic goals. Your technical rationale will support discussions and decisions during board meetings and investor reviews. * Monitor and Update Evaluation Frameworks: Stay on top of emerging technology trends and industry standards. Refine due diligence processes and evaluation criteria to continuously improve the quality and consistency of technical assessments.
Candidate Requirements * Proven Technical Leadership: Minimum of 5 years in roles such as CTO, Head of Engineering, or Senior Technical Lead, with hands-on experience developing and scaling complex IT products or platforms. * Deep Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of current technology stacks, system architectures for high-load systems, and modern software development practices. Experience with assessing full tech ecosystems—including infrastructure, security, and DevOps—is essential. * Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to critically analyze technological solutions and assess both technical feasibility and risk. You should be adept at identifying opportunities for optimization and improvements. * Business Acumen: A balanced understanding of technology and its commercial impact. You should be able to align technical findings with strategic business objectives and convey technical insights in business terms. * Excellent Communication: Fluency in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher) with experience in international meetings, detailed technical reporting, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
