About project: Our client is a fast-growing US-based startup developing a platform to optimize pollination processes for farmers and beekeepers. Leveraging IoT sensors and AI-driven analytics, the platform collects and analyzes data on bee behavior and pollination patterns. This empowers farmers to predict and improve crop yields, optimize resources, and contribute to healthier ecosystems.
Your area of responsibility: * Maintaining and expanding backend functionality and core services; * Designing and developing new features, both backend and occasionally frontend; * Refactoring and improving legacy code; * Building and maintaining APIs, database migrations, and AWS Lambda jobs; * Integrating with third-party services and internal tools; * Collaborating closely with frontend engineers (React, TypeScript), product managers, and other stakeholders; * Translating business requirements into effective, scalable technical solutions.
Skills and requirements: * 7+ years of experience in backend development (Python preferred or another modern programming language); * Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, RDS, SQS, S3); * Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs; * Experience with React and TypeScript; * Product- and business-oriented mindset, with the ability to align technical decisions to business goals; * Upper-intermediate level of English (spoken and written).
Will be a plus: * Experience working with IoT data or agri-tech platforms; * Familiarity with other cloud providers (GCP, Azure); * Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and automation; * Previous startup experience.
