Our project focuses on developing and supporting a data platform across on-premises and Azure environments, leveraging Azure Fabric and Azure-native services for a hybrid data platform. Responsibilities: * Design, build, and maintain Azure-native services (e.g., AKS, Azure Blob Storage, Cosmos DB) and on-premises infrastructure for DevOps, ITOps, and data platform teams, integrating Azure Fabric for analytics workloads. * Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated deployments across hybrid infrastructure. * Manage Kubernetes clusters (on-premises and AKS) and deploy workloads using Helm and ArgoCD, ensuring scalability and performance. * Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for both on-premises and Azure resources. * Implement monitoring and alerting solutions with Azure Monitor and Grafana to enhance system observability across environments. * Participate in on-call rotations, resolving escalation cases using PagerDuty or Jira Service Management. * Conduct post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement and reduce incident recurrence. * Document processes and share knowledge using Confluence to support team collaboration. * Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to optimize Apache Spark and Azure Data Factory workloads in on-premises and Azure environments. * Ensure high availability and security of hybrid systems, leveraging Azure AD and other security frameworks.
Requirements: * 3+ years of industry experience in DevOps or SRE roles. * Hands-on experience with Azure-native services (AKS, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, Azure Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, Fabric) and on-premises infrastructure. * Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Azure ARM templates. * Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps. * Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and containerization (Docker) in both on-premises and cloud settings. * Familiarity with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor or Grafana. * Experience with databases (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, or PostgreSQL). * Expertise in REST and SOAP APIs, with knowledge of secure data practices (OAuth, HTTPS, SSH, Azure AD). * Ability to manage multiple projects and take ownership of systems and processes in hybrid environments. * Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for project tracking and documentation. * Understanding of GitOps principles and tools like ArgoCD. * Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and hybrid infrastructure security best practices.
Will be a plus: * Experience with Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory, or Apache Kafka in Kubernetes. * Proficiency with Azure Fabric for data platform workloads. * Familiarity with Azure Functions or other serverless frameworks. * Basic FinOps experience for cloud and on-premises cost optimization. * Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics or other OLAP databases. * Experience with security frameworks (Azure Key Vault, OpenID). * Programming skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
