Join us! The Opportunity Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Middle Manual QA Engineer with an Automation Background (Java) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a company specializing in travel management solutions. It offers a proprietary technology platform that automates the booking and management of hotel rooms and services, such as sourcing and contracting accommodations, crew planning, daily operations management, and billing and reconciliation. They provide comprehensive services to manage crew accommodations, ground transportation, and travel logistics for large-scale operations. The client manages lodging and ground transportation for over 41,000 individuals across over 100 airlines worldwide. The company has also expanded its services to rail, cruise lines, and sports teams. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Melville, New York, it has over 40 years of experience managing crew accommodations and logistics for airlines and other commercial travel clients.
Our client’s Maintenance team currently places a stronger focus on Manual Testing. However, they are looking for a candidate with experience in Automation as well, as there are plans to gradually increase the number of automated testing scenarios. Manual testing will be an ongoing part of this role (80% of the engineer’s time will be allocated to manual testing and 20% to automation testing).
Requirements: * 1-2 years of test experience with Java. * Experience with various testing types and a good understanding of SDLC. * Basic to medium knowledge of SQL. * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. * Attention to detail and a proactive attitude. * Ability to gain system knowledge to understand the scope of testing (UI, DB, or web service); * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies
Nice to have: * Knowledge with Playwright. * Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines on Jenkins. * Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter) and security testing. * Experience with BDD.
Responsibilities: * Write Java automation tests for both UI and API within existing automation frameworks. * Create, manage, and appropriately link Jira issues and bugs. * Identify and highlight risks throughout the testing process. You must be able to challenge and raise risks when user stories don’t meet the Definition of Ready or Definition of Done. * Create and manage Xray tests and preconditions, using BDD for test scenarios. * Test and validate the SQL database. * Perform smoke, regression, system/integration, and manual testing using boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, decision table testing, and state transition testing. * Develop and execute test plans. * Provide accurate QA estimates and participate in all Scrum ceremonies.
