We are seeking a skilled Automation QA Engineer with strong experience in test automation to develop and establish our automated testing framework. The initial focus will be on building a comprehensive end-to-end test suite for our mobile, web applications and APIs, which will improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Project — UK-based B2B2C FemTech start-up. Main product is a mobile app that provides 24/7, personalised support for women’s health across key life stages, including fertility, pregnancy, parenting, breastfeeding, infant feeding, and menopause.
The app uses AI-powered technology and expert-reviewed content to deliver evidence-based information, virtual communities, and direct access to healthcare specialists, ensuring users receive tailored guidance and support whenever they need it
Key Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and implement an end-to-end automation testing suite for web (React-based admin panel), mobile (Android & iOS), and API services using tools such as WebDriver.io (with Appium/Selenium), Playwright, or similar. * Create automation scripts for mobile app testing, API testing, and user workflows. * Continue manual testing while automation scripts are under development. * Maintain and expand the automated test suite as new features are released. * Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure test coverage and quality standards are met. * Transition to maintaining the automation framework and manual testing of features until automation can fully cover them.
Requirements: * Proven experience in test automation for web and mobile applications. * Hands-on experience with WebDriver.io, Appium, Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools. * Strong API automation skills (e.g., Axios, fetch, Postman, or equivalents). * Understanding of testing strategies, test planning, and defect lifecycle. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control. * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
