About the role:
As a Expert JavaScript Developer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow, working for the global leader in leisure, travel, and tourism industries that offers a high-quality end-to-end customer experience, from booking to accommodation and transportation.
Responsibilities: * Creates technical solution design as Architecture Decision Record to address software design challenges and ensure its implementation * Guides development workflow (reviews requirements, planning, highlights edge cases), defines and implements the engineering standards * Participate in the hiring process and technical interview activities * Provide high-level technical abstract based on clients' needs ( e.g. pre-sale, etc) * Responsible for the professional growth of more junior team members on the project and unit demand. Software Design: * Proven experience in designing solutions using development standards with scalability in mind * Ensuring the team's implementation of suggested architectural decisions * SOLID / GRASP principles * Architectural Diagram Literacy (e.g., C4 model, Basic UML) * Data Structures and Formats * Common algorithms * Web Scaling Essentials (e.g., Load Balancers, Caching strategies, CDN) * Serverless / Microservices / Modular Monolith * CDN (Content Delivery Network)
Software Development: * Solid background in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript * Hands-on with most of the performance and security standards * Experienced in technology or framework limitations * TypeScript * Browsers (DOM, Storages, Events) * WebComponents * Package management (npm) * ReactJs / Preact * CSS Preprocessors (SCSS) * Responsive and Adaptive Design Layout * Accessibility * UI Performance Optimization (Web Vitals)
Quality Assurance: * Successful cases in defining testing approaches (tools, types, metrics) and quality gates (SonarQube) * Proficient in configuring monitoring * Automated tests (unit, integration, e2e tests) * Common manual test practices * Jest or similar * Static code analysis: (ES)Lint * Code review * SonarQube * API Contract Testing
Cloud: * Serverless in AWS * AWS CDK / CloudFormation
Dev Tools: * Modern IDEs (setup plugins, configuration) * Postman or similar * DevTools (Chrome DevTools or similar) * UI Design Tools (e.g., Zeplin, Figma, Sketch) Security: * NodeJS Security (npm audit, vulnerability scanners) * Web Security (XSS, CSRF, CSP, Injections)
