We are looking for an HR Director who will orchestrate and evolve our HR ecosystem — one that supports both our internal team and 200+ engineers embedded in global projects through our outstaffing model.
This is a strategic and hands-on role: you’ll lead a team of People Partners and HR Ops, work closely with delivery leads, and become a key voice in shaping how we grow, develop, and retain talent across Newxel. Your mission * Ensure a seamless people experience for both outstaffed engineers and internal operations staff * Build and optimize scalable HR processes and systems — not for the sake of structure, but to make people’s lives easier * Partner with leadership to bring HR insights into business decisions and help teams work better, together
Your responsibilities People Operations (Outstaffed Teams & Internals) * Curate the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, probation tracking, performance reviews, exit procedures * Work closely with delivery/account managers to ensure engineers feel supported, heard, and productive — even while sitting on client-side * Implement and maintain HR touchpoints that bridge distance and increase engagement in distributed teams
HR Process Design, Automation & Tools * Regularly review and refine HR workflows, balancing compliance, clarity, and simplicity * Drive automation and systematisation in areas like feedback cycles, time-off tracking, onboarding checklists, and documentation flow * Select and integrate tools (HRIS, survey platforms, document flow solutions) to reduce routine work and improve transparency
Culture, Retention, Engagement & Learning * Build initiatives around motivation, learning & development, and team spirit — especially for hybrid and remote formats * Design and facilitate learning programs for operational staff (finance, HR, legal, admin) to promote continuous development and cross-functional collaboration * Develop retention strategies, analyze turnover data, and act on insights, not assumptions * Promote a healthy feedback culture through structured 1:1s, check-ins, and pulse surveys
HR Team Leadership & Strategic Partnering * Lead and support a small, focused HR team: 3 People Partners + 1 HR Ops * Coach team members and foster shared standards across HR practices * Serve as a sparring partner to department heads: advising on people matters, org design, team dynamics
What we’re looking for * 5+ years in HR (2+ in a leadership role), preferably in IT, product, or outstaffing * Practical experience with HR operations at scale: distributed teams, international frameworks, hybrid policies * Deep understanding of HR process design — from scratch or through optimization * Experience implementing or administering HR systems / tooling (e.g. BambooHR, HiBob, Leapsome, Confluence, Jira) * Ability to balance empathy and structure — you care about people and about setting things up well * Strong communication skills in English (Upper-Intermediate+)
