About the project:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong Windows Server, IIS, and AWS experience to join our client’s team. You will work on supporting and scaling custom .NET/C# applications in AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across client environments.
This role will involve hands-on server management, performance tuning, monitoring setup, and collaboration with the development team to implement best practices and code changes aligned with OWASP recommendations.
Responsibilities: * Manage and support Windows Server and IIS environments in production and staging. * Optimize, tune, and scale custom .NET/C# applications hosted on AWS. * Manage AWS infrastructure including EC2, RDS (SQL Server), and S3. * Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system health, availability, and performance. * Perform performance tuning of IIS and application environments. * Collaborate with the development team to address security findings from OWASP reports, ensuring secure code and configuration changes. * Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues and application deployment challenges. * Ensure high system reliability and uptime through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and incident response. * Assist in automating deployment processes and environment configurations using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) where applicable.
Required Skills: * Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and IIS administration in production environments. * Proven experience with AWS (EC2, RDS for SQL Server, S3), including scaling and optimizing workloads. * Experience with custom .NET/C# application environments (deployment, monitoring, performance tuning). * Ability to analyze and optimize application and server performance. * Familiarity with monitoring tools and setting up effective alerting strategies. * Understanding of OWASP security best practices and ability to work with developers to address vulnerabilities. * Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to resolving infrastructure and application issues. * Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with developers and stakeholders. * Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English proficiency.
Nice to have: * Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar). * Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices. * Experience with AWS security best practices and cost optimization strategies. * Knowledge of Agile/Scrum workflows.
