Responsibilities: * Overseeing and leading an R&D Scrum team, including developers and QA/automation specialists * Building and developing the team, including coaching and mentoring individual engineers * Leading design, development, quality, and enablement of multiple functional and technical capabilities within a large-scale platform. Making ongoing design decisions and focusing on multiple product domains and technologies * Owning and leading a part of the product’s functional and technical vision and roadmap * Initiating and facilitating R&D innovation, incubating and supporting new ideas * Establishing technical guidelines & procedures, promoting R&D best practices * Closely collaborating with Product Management and Business Owners, DevOps, DBA, and IT. Teaming up across organizational boundaries and serving as a critical stakeholder in major decision-making processes * Working smoothly with local and remote multi-geo R&D and non-R&D teams, while keeping high visibility and effective communication * Working with large-scale solution providers and vendors to develop partnerships ands trategic platform capabilities * Acting as the team’s primary technical escalation point * Being hands-on: developing features and fixing bugs, running POCs, researching new technologies, conducting code reviews, and assisting teams as needed * Embracing and promoting Client’s core values: Openness, Quality, Enjoyable, Inventive, Simplicity
Requirements: * At least 5 years of experience in the software development industry * At least 3 years of experience leading R&D teams * Extensive experience in architecting and developing 24×7, mission-critical, and highly scalable services in the cloud * Experience with C#, SQL, Redis, and messaging systems * Expertise in the development of best practices, coding principles, and architecture (SOLID, Clean Code, Clean Architecture) * Experience developing in modern Agile methodologies (Scrum, CI/CD, TDD, etc.)
Desirable: * Experience in Front-end development, best practices * Experience in Azure Cloud
Personal skills: * Fast learner * * An eye for detail, strong logic, and analytical skills * Ability to work under pressure with a “can-do” attitude and a solid sense of setting priorities * A persistent focus on delivery in a high-velocity and high-availability environment * Self-managed and flexible to changes * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a positive approach to difficulties, and an imaginative problem solver * Strong spoken and written English
