We are building a SaaS BI/AI analytics platform for sports clubs in the US on AWS. We are seeking a Backend Developer to design and develop the API layer and services that power our analytics dashboards and reports. What you’ll do * Build REST APIs in Node.js/TypeScript (NestJS) running in Docker. * Work with PostgreSQL to design queries and optimize performance. * Implement caching and background jobs (Redis/SQS). * Collaborate with data engineers to expose metrics and KPIs to the frontend. * Build AWS Lambdas for data pipelines and background jobs. * Heavily use AWS services such as S3, RDS, ECS, Lambda, and CloudWatch to build and monitor applications. * Help with design and maintenance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI. * Apply security best practices (IAM, secrets management, encryption in transit and at rest).
What we’re looking for * 4+ years of backend development experience. * Strong skills in Node.js (TypeScript) and Nest.js. * Experience with PostgreSQL and its optimisation. * Familiarity with AWS (S3, ECS, RDS) or other cloud environments. * Experience with Docker and running containerized apps in AWS ECS or similar. * Familiarity with API design, testing, and performance tuning. * Experience with Serverless (Lambda, Step Functions) * Experience with CI/CD on Github or Gitlab * Background in analytics or SaaS platforms. * Security best practices. * Strong problem-solving skills. * Ability to work in cross-functional teams (з data engineers, product, frontend). * English level B2 +
Nice to have * Experience in testing with Jest/Playwright. * Experience with GraphQL or gRPC. * Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Datadog). * Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi).
