We’re currently looking for a Senior ML Engineer with deep modeling experience to join an ambitious project in the land use and transportation domain.
About the Project
The goal is to build large-scale, high-impact predictive models that support urban planning and environmental forecasting. You’ll work on complex problems in transportation and long-range modeling, applying discrete choice methods and modern machine learning techniques.
You’ll have a high level of ownership and collaborate with a strong, experienced team — no micromanagement, no bureaucracy.
What You’ll Do * Develop predictive models using discrete choice modeling (e.g., multinomial logit) * Apply logistic regression and other statistical techniques to simulate behavioral patterns * Use JAX for efficient numerical computing (with jitting and vectorization) * Build and optimize models for real-world forecasting * Work closely with experts in transportation, demographics, environmental science, and data engineering.
What We Expect * 4+ years of experience in predictive modeling or applied machine learning * Strong background in discrete choice models (multinomial logit, logistic regression, etc.) * Solid understanding of ML fundamentals * Hands-on experience with JAX (and preferably jitting) * Background in complex domains: transportation, environmental modeling, weather, or demographic data * Experience in long-range forecasting or simulation modeling * Strong spoken English — ability to communicate fluently with international team and stakeholders.
Nice to Have * Experience with TensorFlow * PhD in a related field (Statistics, CS, Transportation, etc.)
