Our client is a company that enables people, enterprises, and cities to harness the power of location. By making sense of the world through the lens of location, it empowers their customers to achieve better outcomes from helping a city manage its infrastructure or an enterprise optimize its assets to delivering drivers to their destination safely. What project we have for you Designing the MCP Server for the client’s API from scratch.
This project focuses on the development of a robust and scalable MCP server. This server will act as a vital bridge, enabling AI agents and other MCP-compatible clients to intelligently interact with Client’s Location APIs. By creating this crucial piece of infrastructure, you will empower AI to understand and reason about the physical world, opening up new possibilities in logistics, autonomous systems, urban planning, and beyond. What you will do * Design and maintain cloud infrastructure for MCP Server, MCP Content Delivery, Guardrails, and Advanced Trace Collection services. * Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment of Node.js/TypeScript applications. * Implement and operate observability tooling * Ensure scalability and reliability * Apply security and compliance controls: encrypted data at rest and in transit, least-privilege IAM, secret rotation, vulnerability scanning. * Collaborate closely with Node.js engineers and QA to integrate tracing and metrics into the application code and pipelines. * Monitor and optimize infrastructure costs (compute, storage, networking) and recommend savings opportunities. * Provide runbooks and incident response support, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to continuous improvement of SLO/SLA reliability.
What you need for this * 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering (AWS). * Strong skills with containerization and orchestration. * Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins. * Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and environment configuration. * Knowledge of distributed systems operations: scaling, fault tolerance, disaster recovery (RPO/RTO), and cost optimization. * Proficiency with observability stacks — OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging. * Understanding of security best practices: secrets management (KMS/Secrets Manager), network segmentation, TLS/mTLS, and IAM policies. * Familiarity with Node.js runtime operations (build, deploy, monitor) and experience supporting applications built in TypeScript/Node.js. * Scripting ability for automation tasks (Bash, Python, or Node.js). * Good English speaking level (B2+) * Good understanding of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and its client-server architecture is highly desirable. * Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
