About the Role:
We’re seeking a mid-level CloudOps Engineer to join our distributed team and help manage and scale our cloud infrastructure. You’ll be joining a global team of 10+ engineers across the US, Ukraine, and Poland. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies while supporting product development teams in a collaborative, fast-paced SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities: * Infrastructure Management: Manage and support our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance. * Infrastructure as Code: Develop, maintain, and review Terraform configurations for infrastructure provisioning and management. * Developer Enablement: Support product development teams with infrastructure setup, environment management, troubleshooting, and tooling guidance. * Platform Support: Maintain and optimize our technology stack including GKE, Cloud Run, Google Cloud Workflows, BigQuery, CloudSQL, and Google Cloud Storage, among other technologies. * CI/CD Support: Work with CircleCI and Harness pipelines integrated with GitHub and Terraform Cloud. * Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotation and incident response (shared responsibility across timezones). * Code Review: Review terraform code changes from other teams to ensure best practices and consistency in managing and maintaining infrastructure. * Collaboration: Work closely with fellow CloudOps engineers and members of the larger product engineering department.
What We’re Looking For: * Experience: 3+ years of CloudOps, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering experience. * Cloud Platforms: Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred, or comparable experience with AWS or Azure. * Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management. * Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and related orchestration tools. * CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines. * Version Control: Experience with Git and GitHub workflows. * Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. * Communication: Excellent English communication skills for collaboration with distributed teams. * Independence: Self-motivated with ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
Nice-to-Have Skills: * Database Technologies: Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL). * Data Technologies: Experience with Kafka, Redis/Valkey, OpenSearch, BigQuery, or Snowflake. * Configuration Management: Experience with Ansible or similar tools. * SaaS Experience: Prior experience working in a SaaS organization. * Methodologies: Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies. * Cost Optimization: Experience with cloud cost optimization and resource management. * Monitoring: Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
