We’re looking for our client, Senior/Lead QA Engineer skilled in both manual and automated testing, and can proactively recommend tools, workflows, and improvements to enhance overall product quality and team efficiency.
You’ll work closely with frontend developers, product owners, and designers to ensure every release meets the highest standards in usability, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities * Advanced QA efforts for frontend projects built with React and Next.js. * Design, document, and execute test plans for web applications, including functional, regression, integration, and UI/UX testing. * Develop and maintain automated test suites (E2E, component, and regression). * Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker-based environments). * Identify, track, and verify bugs and issues using tools like Jira. * Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, debug failures, and improve test coverage. * Conduct cross-browser, cross-device testing to ensure consistency and responsiveness. * Recommend and implement new QA tools or frameworks that improve testing speed, coverage, or reliability. * Define and enforce QA standards and best practices across the frontend squad. * Participate in code reviews (especially for test automation and frontend logic affecting quality). * Provide mentorship and guidance to other QA or frontend team members.
Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills * Strong experience in manual testing for web applications. * Solid knowledge of automation tools such as: * Playwright, Cypress, or Puppeteer for E2E tests * Jest or Testing Library for unit/component testing * Experience integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.) * Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman or Swagger). * Strong understanding of browser developer tools and debugging practices. * Experience using Jira management tool. * Familiarity with Docker-based environments for local testing.
Soft Skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. * Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration. * Ability to work in agile/Scrum environments. * Proactive in identifying quality gaps and suggesting improvements. * Self-driven and detail-oriented, with a passion for product excellence.
Nice to Have * Experience with performance testing tools (Lighthouse, WebPageTest, k6). * Familiarity with visual regression testing (Percy, Applitools). * Experience with accessibility testing (axe-core, Lighthouse audits). * Experience testing mobile apps built with React Native, or similar. * Experience in frontend observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus and AWS Dashboard). * Background in security and vulnerability testing for frontend apps.
