Ciklum is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:
As a Senior Security Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on the project for a global leader in the leisure, travel and tourism sector, delivering secure and scalable technology that enables a high-quality end-to-end customer experience.
Responsibilities: * Secure coding, secure design and security automation skills and capabilities in domains * Full ownership of complex topics or multi-faceted initiatives and outcomes spanning across your domain * Creating software products that are secure by default and working collaboratively with software engineers, cloud engineers and architects to ensure information security is considered throughout the design and implementation of software products and services * Tooling and automation to identify possible threats and vulnerabilities before they are promoted to production, helping to protect customer data * Taking an engineering approach to solving security problems, selecting and guiding teams to use the right tools for the right jobs to solve business and technical challenges efficiently * Taking the initiative to translate ideas into outcomes * Regularly coaching, guiding and developing more junior colleagues * Being responsible for the operation, ongoing optimisation and adoption of the Client’s Web Application Firewall infrastructure
Requirements: * Proficient experience in working with CDN and WAF solutions such as Akamai or Cloudflare * AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner * Advanced experience in designing secure, highly available and distributed applications in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment * Ability to understand and analyse complex security events and adjust ongoing security profiles accordingly * Experience in defining, planning, implementing, maintaining and upgrading security measures, guardrails and controls for WAF and CDN * Familiarity with information security standards and practices and their practical implications * Experience in securing APIs * Deep automation skills with hands-on experience in programming languages such as Python * Advanced experience with CI and CD, preferably GitLab CI * Customer-centric mindset and passion for delivering great digital products and services * Passion for continuous improvement, collaboration and effective teamwork * Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good communication skills * Understanding of social and ethical implications of software engineering * Open minded, inquisitive and a life-long learner * Comfortable with ambiguity and highly autonomous
