Ciklum is looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:
As a Senior Solution Architect, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on the project focused on modernising a cloud-based BPO platform and integrating advanced AI-powered capabilities to drive efficiency, automation and enhanced customer experiences.
The client provides nearshore and offshore BPO services specialising in call and contact center operations, with a strong emphasis on leveraging cloud technologies and AI to improve customer experience and operational performance.
Responsibilities: * Define and own the solution architecture for the platform leveraging React/Next.js frontend with Python/Java serverless backend, FastAPIs, Camunda workflow orchestration, AWS services and AI/ML tools * Collaborate with business stakeholders and product management to gather and analyse requirements translating them into detailed technical architectures and roadmaps * Design high-level and low-level architecture diagrams, component designs, integration patterns and data flow models aligned with MACH principles and the AWS Well Architected Framework * Evaluate and select technologies, tools and frameworks including workflow management, containerisation, serverless, event processing, data and AI capabilities on AWS to meet scalability, availability and performance goals * Guide development teams and act as a technical lead during implementation ensuring adherence to architecture standards, coding guidelines and best practices * Ensure the architecture supports observability, monitoring, logging, traceability and workflow versioning especially for Camunda workflows * Identify risks, technical debt and bottlenecks and propose mitigation strategies * Define and drive architecture governance, workflow versioning strategies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and deployment approaches * Mentor and coach engineering teams on architectural topics, workflow orchestration in Camunda and AI/ML product integration promoting knowledge sharing and best practices * Stay up to date with emerging technologies in AI, data engineering and cloud-native architectures and share insights across the organisation
Requirements: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field * 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect or Senior Engineer designing large-scale systems * Strong hands-on AWS experience building, testing and deploying production-grade applications * Experience with Camunda or similar workflow orchestration tools including designing, implementing, versioning, scheduling and monitoring workflows * Deep understanding of data pipelines, batch and stream processing, microservices architecture and event-driven systems * Strong experience with containerisation and orchestration including Docker and Kubernetes * Proven experience designing scalable and resilient architectures including component design, service integrations, FastAPIs, data stores SQL and NoSQL, caching and message or event brokers * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation and workflow version management * Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders * Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with the capacity to make pragmatic trade-offs between architecture, cost, performance and time-to-market * Experience designing and implementing AI and ML solutions including model selection, training and deployment
Desirable: * Experience working in Agile and Scrum teams and collaborating with DevOps or Platform teams * Certification in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or AWS Solutions Architect * Experience working with BPO solutions * Experience building or working with no code and low code platforms
