Vilmate is looking for a Middle Data Scientist to join a Sweden-based tech project (a top-notch mailing platform).
Vilmate company is a team of highly professional software developers based in Kharkiv and Kyiv. We have been engaged in delivering bespoke software to North American and Western European clients since 2012 and are equally experienced in web and mobile development.
About the project: The client’s application is a powerful email marketing automation platform that allows for the creation, AB testing, and conducting of rule-based email and SMS marketing campaigns. These campaigns can be based on intricate rules and AB-tested using two or more different custom emails. The user can compose a custom email based on one of the multiple prefabricated templates or create a custom template using the platform’s Template Editor functionality. Additionally, they can illustrate the created emails with images from the application’s image repository.
About the team: The team consists of a Senior Data Scientist, 3 backend Laravel developers, 4 frontend Angular developers, a DevOps engineer, 2 email template developers, 1 manual QA engineer, and a project manager.
Responsibilities: * Development and improvement of ML/LLM models (NLP, embedding-based search, decision pipelines). * Building and validating agent-based scenarios (tool use, reasoning, self-evaluation). * Analyzing large datasets in Databricks (SparkSQL, Delta Lake). * Designing logging systems and experiment-tracking pipelines (MLflow, Weights & Biases). * Integrating models into a multi-component environment (API, orchestration framework, vector DB). * Optimizing inference processes and monitoring system quality in production. * Conducting A/B experiments and performing statistical analysis of results. * Documenting processes and participating in architectural discussions.
Required skills and experience: * 2–4 years of experience as a Data Scientist / ML Engineer. * Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL. * Experience developing and deploying ML models in cloud environments (Databricks, AWS, GCP). * Good knowledge of ML and NLP libraries (Scikit-learn, Transformers, LangChain, llama-index). * Understanding of LLM system architecture, RAG pipelines, embeddings. * Knowledge of MLOps tools: MLflow, Docker, CI/CD. * Strong analytical thinking, attention to data quality, ability to work with incomplete or unstructured data sources. * English at Upper-Intermediate level or above.
Nice to have: * Experience with multi-agent frameworks (AutoGen, CrewAI, LangGraph). * Knowledge of cloud orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, Lakehouse architecture). * Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
