The client is from the United States. It is a technology company focused on improving workplace safety through innovative solutions. The company’s main product is an alert system that includes panic buttons that can be installed on various surfaces to alert security and quickly call for help in an emergency.
Responsibilities: * Analyze and understand the client’s existing Elixir codebase through a comprehensive technical audit. * Prepare and present detailed technical recommendations and refactoring proposals to the client. * Implement agreed-upon changes in a clean, efficient, and maintainable manner, following Elixir best practices. * Monitor the impact of implemented changes and make further adjustments as needed. * Collaborate with the client to clarify requirements, align expectations, and prioritize improvements. * Identify inefficiencies, architectural issues, and opportunities for improvement in the current system.
Requirements: * 4+ years of professional experience with Elixir and the Phoenix framework, Functional Programming. * Strong understanding of functional programming concepts and paradigms OTP. * Experience with OTP (Open Telecom Platform) principles, including GenServers, Supervisors, and Erlang Applications. * Basic knowledge of Erlang and the BEAM VM Database Systems. * Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases API Development: * Proficiency in building and maintaining RESTful APIs Testing. * Experience with ExUnit and testing methodologies in Elixir applications, and Version Control. * Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows. * Experience with the Nerves Project for Elixir Embedded will be a plus. * Intermediate strong level of English or higher.
