Our client is the leading SaaS provider of independent, highly automated financial aid management software solutions, that support diverse enrollment models for higher education institutions in the U.S. Our client’s solutions interoperate with established student information systems to provide institutions with improved efficiencies, and fewer errors, new program growth opportunities, and enhanced financial aid services for students.
This position is to join the client’s Product Development team, which focuses on delivering high-quality products to our customer base using a fast-paced Agile development model. The Software Engineer will participate in the design, implementation, and testing of multiple SaaS products geared toward the higher education market. Specifically, s/he will: * Have expert-level knowledge of React, Kendo, C#, data structures, and software patterns; * Develop and automate unit tests; * Develop queries and stored procedures within SQL Server; * Contribute feedback and guidance to the development of functional and technical specifications; * Address software defects with timely resolution; * Effectively communicate and collaborate with various team members; * Think outside the box and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications: * Strong experience with JavaScript and modern frontend development; * Hands-on experience with Kendo UI is preferable; * Solid knowledge of ReactJS and component-based UI development; * Strong UI/UX awareness, with the ability to build intuitive, user-friendly interfaces; * Strong experience with .NET and C#, used across multiple layers of the application; * Experience with ASP.NET Web API, including understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices; * Working knowledge of SQL Server; * Ability to write T-SQL queries and basic stored procedures; * Understanding of how the application interacts with the database (advanced SQL expertise is not required).
