Now, we’re looking for a Senior Backend & Infrastructure Engineer — someone who will take ownership of backend services and the serverless infrastructure that powers them in production.

What you will do: — Build and maintain serverless backend services on AWS using Lambda, SQS, and RDS. — Own Serverless Framework configuration in serverless.yml, including deployments, environments, stages, and IAM policies. — Design and operate asynchronous, message-driven workflows with SQS, including retries, DLQs, idempotency, and failure handling. — Ensure reliability and performance of PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS through indexing, migrations, and scaling strategies. — Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging using CloudWatch to improve observability and production stability. — Actively work on production reliability, failure prevention, and system resilience. — Collaborate closely with frontend and product teams and contribute to architectural and technical decisions.
What we’re looking for: — 5+ years of professional software development experience. — Strong backend expertise with Python and at least 3 years of hands-on experience. — Production experience with AWS Lambda, including function design, deployment, monitoring, and cold-start considerations. — Confident use of Serverless Framework and serverless.yml with stages, variables, IAM roles, plugins, and CI/CD integration. — Solid production experience with Amazon RDS using PostgreSQL. — Practical, production-level use of Amazon SQS, including standard and FIFO queues, retries, DLQs, idempotency, visibility timeouts, and backpressure patterns. — Strong understanding of REST API design. — Experience with observability using CloudWatch logs and metrics, alarms, structured logging, and basic tracing. — Strong understanding of AWS security fundamentals, including IAM least-privilege principles, secrets management with SSM or Secrets Manager, encryption basics, and VPC fundamentals. — Product mindset, autonomy, and readiness to take ownership of backend and infrastructure systems. — English level B1 or higher.
Will be a plus: — Experience integrating payment providers. — Experience with Google Spreadsheets integrations.
