We are looking for a Senior Front-end Engineer to lead the technical implementation of our web-based products. You won’t just be adding features; you will be architecting a new platform from scratch and helping us transform our existing monolithic structures into a modern, scalable, and high-performance web environment. This is a unique opportunity to define the technology stack and engineering culture of the Web direction at Skylum.
Requirements: * Proven Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Front-end development with a deep focus on React and the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem. * Greenfield Experience: Proven track record of building complex web products from scratch — from initial architecture to production launch. * Monolith Transformation: Solid experience in modularizing monolithic applications, implementing Micro-frontends (if applicable), or migrating legacy codebases to modern architectures. * Performance & Scale: Experience in building high-performance applications (60 FPS, heavy data processing, or canvas-based rendering). * Engineering Excellence: Strong knowledge of design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing. * Collaboration: Ability to work closely with Product Designers and C++ Core engineers to ensure a smooth user experience. * Bonus Points: Experience with WebAssembly (Wasm), WebGL, or WebGPU; background in image/video processing tools.
KPIs: * Architecture Stability: Zero major architectural shifts needed in the first year due to initial scalability planning. * Product Delivery: Successful MVP launch of the web product within agreed timelines. * Performance Metrics: Achieving target LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) and smooth interaction scores for heavy image-editing tasks. * Code Quality: High test coverage and low technical debt in the new codebase.
