Our client is looking for a Senior QA & Automation Engineer to take ownership of a multi-platform automation strategy covering web and mobile applications. The role is focused on enabling high-quality, low-risk releases by building and maintaining robust automation frameworks, reducing manual testing effort, and improving confidence in deployments. This position will also evolve toward AI-assisted QA workflows, where automation engineers collaborate with AI tools to accelerate test creation, validation, and execution. The engineer will work closely with product and engineering teams to define testing strategies, improve coverage, and ensure scalability of the QA process.

The client is a US-based marketplace platform focused on live event ticketing. The platform operates at scale and requires high reliability, especially in user-facing flows such as browsing, purchasing, and payments. The engineering organization emphasizes speed, quality, and continuous improvement, with increasing interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and testing efficiency.
Tech stack:
— Playwright — Appium — TypeScript / Node.js — CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar) — BrowserStack / Sauce Labs / Firebase Test Lab — BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) — Mobile testing (iOS / Android) — AI tools (Copilot, Cursor, or similar)
Requirements:
— 5+ years of experience in QA automation (web and mobile). — Strong experience with Playwright and/or Appium. — Solid programming skills in TypeScript or JavaScript (Node.js). — Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar). — Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin). — Strong understanding of test design, flakiness reduction, and debugging. — Experience testing both web and mobile (native and mobile web) — Familiarity with cloud device farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, etc.)
Nice to have:
— Experience working with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, etc.). — Exposure to AI-driven QA workflows or automation pipelines. — Experience in high-scale consumer or marketplace platforms.
Responsibilities:
— Own and maintain end-to-end test automation frameworks across web and mobile. — Design and implement scalable and reliable automated test suites. — Improve test coverage and reduce manual testing dependency. — Analyze and resolve flaky tests and improve test stability. — Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define QA strategies. — Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines. — Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted QA tools and workflows. — Ensure high-quality releases with minimal risk.
