UI/UX Designer (Part-Time → Full-Time) at Edplay.ai Location: Remote (we’re a global team across Austin, Kyiv, London, Barcelona, Cairo & Dubai) Type: Part-time to start, with a clear path to full-time Compensation: Hourly during trial period, competitive salary if you join full-time About Edplay Edplay.ai turns everyday work knowledge into professional training courses in minutes. Upload an SOP, a product manual, or a compliance doc — or just describe what you want to teach — and our AI builds clear, interactive training that’s ready to ship. No designers. No authoring tools. No content backlogs.
We launched in January 2026 in Austin, Texas. In four months, we’ve grown to 30 enterprise customers, raised funding, and built a team of 10 working across six countries. We’re moving fast, and we’re looking for a designer who can help us do it without losing the simplicity our customers love us for.
Watch our product video:
L&D leaders, enablement teams, HR, and subject matter experts use Edplay to ship onboarding, product training, and compliance programs at speed and quality. SCORM and LTI support, API integration with any LMS or HRIS, and enterprise-grade security come standard. The Role We’re looking for a part-time UX/UI designer to review our existing product design and assets, then help us improve them. If we love what you ship, we’d like to bring you on full-time.
Our customers are L&D pros and SMEs — not designers, not engineers. The product has to feel obvious. That’s the bar. We need someone who genuinely cares about clean interfaces, who can put themselves in our users’ shoes, and who can help us drive product activation and retention through better design decisions. What you’ll do * Audit our current product design and design system * Study our end users and understand their workflows * Propose and ship improvements that make Edplay feel simpler, sharper, and more delightful * Help us hit better activation and retention numbers through thoughtful design * Collaborate with founders, engineers, and the rest of our team in real time
What we’re looking for * A strong portfolio of B2B SaaS product design — bonus points if you’ve shipped tools used by non-technical professionals * A real eye for simplicity and aesthetics * Solid product thinking — you understand activation funnels, retention loops, and how design moves those numbers * Comfort with Figma, Notion, Loom, and Slack (this is how our distributed team works) * Self-direction. We’re 10 people in 6 countries. (London, Austin, Kyiv, Barcelona, Cairo, Dubai) You’ll need to drive your own work.
How to Apply We do this a little differently. Before we book an interview, we want to see how you think.
Step 1 — Experience the product as a customer would. * Sign up here: auth.edplay.ai/register * Complete our onboarding course: demo.edplay.ai/hub/5002/course * Watch our design system overview (no sound): www.loom.com/...41d6c4aeb8d4ea710d94d2ea5
Step 2 — Send us: * Your CV (PDF) * A link to your product design portfolio * A short proposal: based on what you saw, what would you change, and why? What stood out as strong, and what felt off? You don’t need to redesign anything yet, we want to see how you think.
Step 3 — Want to stand out?
Record a Loom walking us through your thinking. We’re a Loom-heavy team, and seeing how you communicate async is a real signal for us.
If your suggestions land, we’ll pay you hourly to do the actual work — and that becomes the start of the conversation about joining the team full-time. Why Edplay * Real traction. 30 enterprise customers in 4 months. Funded. Growing. * Real ownership. You will be shaping how the product looks and feels at the moment it matters most. * Real flexibility. Async-first, distributed team, no office politics. * Real path to full-time. This isn’t a contract that goes nowhere. We want a long-term partner, and we’re using this trial to find one.
We’re excited to see what you send.
