About Axon Axon is a technology-focused software engineering company specializing in building scalable, high-quality solutions for modern businesses. We combine a strong engineering culture with a deep understanding of business needs to deliver reliable, secure, and future-ready digital products.
As a fully remote company with a global presence (our team is located in more than 5 countries), we pride ourselves on transparency, ownership, and a service-oriented mindset. Our mission is to empower businesses through thoughtful software engineering and predictable delivery. Role Description Axon is looking for a motivated Business Analyst to join our team in a fully remote setup. The Business Analyst would be a bridge between our clients and the delivery team — turning business goals into clear, testable requirements that engineering can build with confidence, removing ambiguity before development starts, and protecting product quality.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Software Engineers, QA, and UI/UX Designers, as well as directly with clients and their stakeholders, to keep everyone aligned on what we are building and why. What You Need for This Position Previous Experience * 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an outsourced / service company setting, working directly with external clients; * Experience analyzing requirements across more than one industry is a plus — at Axon, the same BA can move between domains (Real Estate, Insurance, Education, etc.); * English: Upper-Intermediate or higher (written and verbal) — required for client-facing communication.
Core Business Analysis Skills * Domain & Discovery: Quickly learns the client’s business across any industry we serve, asks the questions that surface the real problem, and is comfortable running interviews, workshops, story mapping, and lightweight prototyping. * Requirements Craft: Writes specs that engineering can actually build — user stories with clear acceptance criteria, relevant non-functional needs (performance, security, integrations), and edge cases caught before the sprint, not during it. * Single Source of Truth: Keeps decisions, rules, and open questions in the knowledge center and issue tracker — not in chat threads or someone’s memory. * Technical Fluency: Reads API docs and data models, follows feasibility discussions, and partners with engineers — while respecting the line between business requirements and technical design. * Collaboration & Written Communication: Translates business language for engineers and engineering reality for clients; communicates clearly in writing, which is essential for remote work.
Technical Skills * Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile / Scrum ways of working; * Hands-on experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements; * Practical experience with discovery techniques — stakeholder interviews, workshops, user story mapping, simple flow diagrams or wireframes; * Able to read API documentation and reason about data models to validate feasibility with engineers; * Familiarity with backlog refinement, scope-change impact analysis, and risk surfacing.
What You Will Be Doing * Turn client business goals into build-ready backlog items — each with a clear business goal, acceptance criteria, key edge cases, and known dependencies * Keep a shared understanding with the client — make sure they always know what we are building this sprint and why, and summarize workshop and discovery outputs within 1 working day; * Together with the PM, maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog with enough refined work for at least 2 sprints ahead; * Analyze scope changes (impact on time, cost, quality, and dependencies) before they are accepted, and surface risks and unknowns early — not at the deadline; * Lead or co-lead discovery for new initiatives (new modules, new functionality, modernization) so the team knows what to build, what to skip, and what success looks like; * Maintain clear and up-to-date project documentation in the knowledge center as the single source of truth; * Continuously improve how we capture requirements — refining templates, refinement habits, and ways of working so the team has less rework, fewer repeat questions, and faster sign-off.
What We Can Offer You * Challenging work in an international professional environment; * Well-defined development processes: * Work in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology; * Work alongside experienced Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineering Teams within multiple projects; * Competitive compensation with regular review based on performance; * 20 compensated vacation days during the calendar year; * Days off during national holidays; * 7 days of compensated sick leave during the year; * Comfortable work schedule (9/10/11 AM — 6/7/8 PM your local time).
Interview Stages * Intro Call with a Recruiter — Google Meet, 30–45 minutes. * Technical Interview — Google Meet, ~1 hour. * Managerial / Client Interview — Google Meet, ~1 hour. * Feedback & Job Offer.
