We are looking for an experienced PowerBI Engineer / BI Engineer to lead the migration of legacy reporting and dashboards to Power BI. This role will work closely with data engineers, finance stakeholders, and business users to ensure accurate, performant, and well-governed analytics solutions built on top of the existing PostgreSQL data warehouse. The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and data modeling skills with deep Power BI expertise and an understanding of financial reporting requirements. Requirements: * 4+ years of experience in BI / analytics development, with a strong focus on Power BI * Advanced SQL skills and proven experience working with relational data warehouses (PostgreSQL preferred) * Strong knowledge of data modeling for analytics (fact/dimension modeling, star schemas) * Hands-on experience with DAX, including complex measures and performance optimization * Experience migrating or modernizing legacy dashboards or reporting solutions * Understanding of financial data, KPIs, and reporting concepts (revenue, costs, margins, forecasts, etc.) * Experience with Power BI Service, including workspaces, datasets, refreshes, and permissions * Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders * At least Upper Intermediate English level
Responsibilities: * Analyze existing legacy dashboards and reports and document business logic, KPIs, and data dependencies * Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards aligned with business and finance stakeholders’ needs * Build and optimize Power BI semantic models (datasets) using best practices (star schema, measures, DAX) * Connect Power BI to a PostgreSQL data warehouse, ensuring efficient query performance and scalability * Translate complex financial metrics and calculations into reliable, reusable Power BI measures * Validate report accuracy by reconciling results with legacy dashboards and source systems * Implement row-level security (RLS) and data access controls where required * Optimize refresh strategies (incremental refresh, scheduling, data volumes) * Collaborate with data engineering teams on data model improvements and performance tuning * Document dashboards, datasets, and business logic to support long-term maintainability * Support user adoption by addressing feedback and improving usability and clarity of reports
