We’re looking for a Fullstack Developer to join the ReturnGO (a Global-e company) R&D department and play a significant role in evolving our post-purchase ecosystem.
As part of this role, you will drive technical decisions across our React and PHP/NestJS stacks, helping us scale our solution to serve twice as many merchants while maintaining the highest engineering standards. From rewriting shopper-facing interfaces to optimizing microservices and RDS/MySQL databases, you will have a direct impact on the core components that power the post-purchase journey for thousands of merchants worldwide.
Requirements * 5+ years of full-stack web development experience with React, and backend frameworks (NestJS, Laravel). * Hands-on experience with AI developer tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, MCP, and Skills. * Strong database design and optimization skills (e.g., MySQL, query performance, indexing, data modeling). * Advantage: Experience in working in systems built on top of AWS. * Strong understanding of software design, architecture, and engineering principles * High coding standards and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities: * End-to-End Ownership: Lead the delivery of new features and critical infrastructure improvements from conception to deployment. * Technical Leadership: Drive decisions across the stack, with a typical focus of 70% React, 30% PHP, and 10% NestJS. * AI-Driven Development: Build production-grade features using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and MCPs. * Quality Assurance: Write and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and E2E tests. * Scalable Architecture: Promote best practices in code quality and system design. * Domain Expertise: Evolve into a “Topic Leader” (similar to a guild lead) for specific areas of the platform
